Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

 

FEMA operates under ten regional offices that work directly with each state to assist in planning for disasters, developing mitigation programs, monitoring or responding to emergency situations and implementing federal response activities under the National Response Plan (NRP) during an event. Below is a map of the ten FEMA regions and the regional headquarter locations. Colorado is located in FEMA Region VIII and the headquarters is located in Denver.
